WordPress Theme Documentation


Basic introduction about Well Being Theme setup.

Theme Installation

From WordPress Dashboard

  1. Log in to the WordPress Administration Panels.
  2. Go to the Appearance > Themes
  3. Click Add New
  4. Upload the Zip file of Well Being
  5. After Installing the theme Click Activate button

FTP Installation (alternate method)

  1. Use your FTP software to browse to wp-content/themes folder.
  2. Extract wellbeing.zip and upload the folder.
  3. Once it’s uploaded, go to your WordPress Admin, browse to Appearance > Themes
  4. Click the Activate button.

Demo Import

After theme activation, For well-functioning of our theme, it recommends certain plugin to install. Click on Begin installing plugins, which will install all the necessary plugin automatically.

After installation of all the recommended plugins, Go to Appearance > Demo Importer and choose demo which you want to import. Click on Import button.

Setup Homepage and Blog page

After install demo content, you'll see a page Homepage. This page will be used as the homepage of the website. To set it as homepage, please go to Settings  >  Reading, under Front page displays, please chose A static page (select below) and select Homepage for Front page and Blog page for Posts page.

Adding Pages / Posts

Adding a new page is the same way as default WordPress installations, however, there are extra options that might need explaining. Usually each page have content and featured image. You can enable Excerpt Field too.

  1. Go to Admin Panel
  2. Go to Pages > Add New
  3. Give the title of the Page
  4. Write the content of the Page
  5. Scroll to down and see the right corner, you will find the Set Featured Image section
  6. Click Publish

This theme can fully customize from the Customize section. To customize theme, Go to Appearance > Customize. You will find the various options related to theme. You can add as many pages as you want.

Adding Content

Create or Edit a Menu

This theme supports Custom Menu. You can set it through the following steps.

  1. Go to Appearance > Menus
  2. Give your menu a name and build it up using little widgets on the left.
  3. You can add Pages, Posts, Custom Links and Categories
  4. On the right, feel free to drag and drop menu items to organize them
  5. You can order your menu position with drag and drop option as well.
  6. Now simply select the Display Location to Primary / Footer for your newly created menus using a widget on the left. Afterwards, click Save.

Categories

  1. Go to Administration Panels
  2. Go to Posts > Categories
  3. Give the Title of the category
  4. Click on Save
  5. The added category will appear on the Add Post Page.

Setup Widget Areas

Widgets are one of the most important aspects of this theme. Eight special widgets are specially built for the front page so that most of your content can be categorized easily and be accommodated to feature in the front page.

Set Up Home Page

If you want to create Home Page similar to demo but without importing demo content, you can follow the following procedure.

1. Install Theme Well Being
  • Go to Admin Panel > Appearance > Themes > Add New and search theme Well Being
  • Click on Install and then Activate
2. Create Page for Home
  • Go to Admin panel > Pages > Add New
  • Give the title of the page (Example: Home Page)
  • In Page Attributes panel in right part, select Home as page template.
  • Click on Publish to publish the page.
3. Create Blog Page
  • Follow the same above page creation method.
  • In Page Attributes panel in right part, select Default template as page template.
  • Click on Publish to publish the page.
4. Set Homepage and Blog page

Please set home page and blog page with following procedure.

  • Go to Admin panel > Settings > Reading
  • Click on “A static page (select below)”
  • Set Front page: (Home Page recently created above)
  • Posts page:(Blog you recently created)
5. Theme Customizer

After setting the Front Page and Blog page. Go to Appearance > Customize, all available theme options are here.

Customize

When you go to Admin Panel > Appearance > Customize , there you find various options available. Just try those options one by one you will able to understand how the theme works and can create any kinds of sites.

General Setting

  • Site Identity
    • Go to Customize > General Settings > Site Identity
    • You will get the options to manage Site title, Tagline, and Logo
    • Use the available options to customize the Logo, Site title, and Tagline.
    • If the preview is fine Click on Publish to save the changes.
  • Colors
    • Go to Customize > General Settings > Colors
    • Set Primary and Secondary Color
    • If the preview is fine Click on Publish to save the changes.
  • Background Image
    • Go to Customize > General Settings > Background Image
    • This option help you to set background of your website.
    • If the preview is fine Click on Publish to save the changes.
  • Homepage setting

    This section helps you to set the front page and blog page. It is the same setting ( Settings > Reading )

  • Breadcrumb Settings
    • Go to Customize > General Settings > Breadcrumb Settings
    • Enable or Disable Breadcrumb
    • Change the background image of the breadcumb
    • Click on Publish to save the changes.

Header Setting

  • Header Layouts
    • Go to Appearance > Customize > Header Settings > Header Layouts
    • Choose your Header Layout
    • If your preview is fine, click on Publish to save changes.
  • Social Icons
    • Go to Appearance > Customize > Header Settings > Social icons
    • Show or Hide Social Profile
    • Enter full Social link
    • Click on Publish to save changes.
  • Contact
    • Go to Appearance > Customize > Header Settings > Contact
    • This option helps you top set your contact informations like Phone Number, Address etc.
    • Click on Publish to save changes.
  • Extra Button
    • Go to Appearance > Customize > Header Settings > Extra Button
    • This option helps you add additional button in header menu.
    • Click on Publish to save change.

Typography Settings

  • Go to Appearance > Customize > Typography Settings
  • You can set following options
    • Font family for Body and Title tags
    • Font color
    • Font line-height

Homepage Settings

From Appearance > Customize > Homepage Settings, You will find verious settings in this widget. Now setup the widget according to your need.

  • Slider Section
    • Go to Homepage Settings > Slider Section
    • Show or Hide slider
    • Slider type = Default
      • Choose the post category for slider
      • Title, Entry Content and Featured Image of each selected post will appear as a slider content and Image.
      • Check all the available options to manage the slider section.
      Slider type = Shortcode
      • Enter the Slider Revolution slider shortcode.
    • Select the post for the slider Items.
    • If the preview is fine, click on Publish to save the changes.
  • Feature Section
    • Go to Homepage Settings > Feature Section
    • Show or Hide Feature block
    • This option helps you to set different features of your site.
    • Give Title, Description and Content in three different Feature blocks.
    • Click on Publish to save change.
  • Welcome Section
    • Go to Homepage Settings > Slider Section
    • Set Section Title
    • Select the page for Welcome section.
    • Title, Entry Content and Featured Image of each selected page will appear in Welcome block.
    • Check all the available options to manage the Welcome section.
    • Click on Publish to save the changes.
  • CTA ( CALL TO ACTION ) Section
    • Go to Homepage Settings > CTA Section
    • Show or Hide CTA Section
    • Set Title, Decription
    • Set Button text and Link
    • Set Background color and Background Image
    • Click on Publish to save the changes.
  • Counter Section
    • Go to Homepage Settings > Counter Section
    • Show or Hide CTA Section
    • Set Title
    • Set Background color and Background Image
    • Add Counters
    • Click on Publish to save the changes.
  • Department Section
    • Go to Homepage Settings > Department Section
    • Show or Hide CTA Section
    • Set Title
    • Set Section Title and Title
    • Set Description, Button text and Button URL
    • Add Departments
    • Click on Publish to save the changes.
  • Service Section
    • Go to Homepage Settings > Service
    • Set Section Title
    • Choose Service Layout form select option
    • Select no of service.
    • Click on Publish to save the changes.
  • Contact and Testimonial
    • Go to Homepage Settings > Contact and Testimonial Settings
    • Show / Hide section
    • Set Section Title and Sub Title
    • Choose Service Layout form select option
    • Put contact form Short Code
    • Set Section Title for right testimonial.
    • Click on Publish to save the changes.
  • Testimonial Section
    • Go to Homepage Settings > Testimonial Section
    • Show / Hide Testimonial Section
    • Set Section Title
    • Set Background color and Background Image
    • Click on Publish to save the changes.
  • Short Bio
    • Go to Homepage Settings > Short Bio
    • Show / Hide section
    • Select the page for Short Bio page
    • Title, Entry Content and Featured Image of each selected page will appear on this section
    • Click Publish to make change.
  • Sucess Story
    • Go to Homepage Settings > Sucess Story
    • Show / Hide section
    • Set Section Title
    • Click Publish to make change.
  • Team Section
    • Go to Homepage Settings > Team Section
    • Show / Hide section
    • Set Section Title
    • Click Publish to make change.
  • Blog Section
    • Go to Homepage Settings > Blog Section
    • Set Section Title
    • Select the post category for Blog.
    • All the post under selected category will appear in Blog section.
    • Check all the available options to manage the Blog section.
    • Click on Publish to save the changes.
  • Section Reorder
    • Go to Homepage Settings > Section Reorder
    • Order each section in home page as your choice.
    • Click on Publish to save the changes.

Menus

Menu options lets you choose and various pages in the menu located at different sections. It has the following options:

  • Footer Menu
    • Go to Appearance > Customize > Menus > Footer Menu
    • You can update title and locations for the footer.
    • Click on Save & Publish to save the changes.
  • Main Menu
    • Go to Appearance > Customize > Menus > Main Menu
    • You can update title and locations for the footer.
    • Click on Save & Publish to save the changes.
  • Quick Links
    • Go to Appearance > Customize > Menus > Quick Links
    • You can update title and locations for the footer.
    • Click on Save & Publish to save the changes.

Widget

Widgets let you add and update some extra feature on your site like pages, text, images etc. Go to Appearance > Customize > Widget , It includes the followings:

  • Footer Widget Area 1
    • Go to Appearance > Customize > Widgets > Footer Widget Area 1.
    • You can update widgets in the first column of the footer.
    • Click on Publish to save the changes.
  • Footer Widget Area 2
    • Go to Appearance > Customize > Widgets > Footer Widget Area 2.
    • You can update widgets in the second column of the footer.
    • Click on Publish to save the changes.
  • Footer Widget Area 3
    • Go to Appearance > Customize > Widgets > Footer Widget Area 3.
    • You can update widgets in the third column of the footer.
    • Click on Publish to save the changes.

Post/Page Settings

  • Go to Appearance > Customize > Post/Page Settings
  • Select the Sidebar from the available option.
  • If the preview is fine, Click on Save & Publish to save the changes.

Archive Settings

  • Go to Appearance > Customize > Archive Settings
  • Select the Sidebar from the available option.
  • If the preview is fine, Click on Save & Publish to save the changes.

Contact Page Settings

  • Go to Appearance > Customize > Contact Page Settings
  • Copy & Paste Google Map Iframe
  • Copy & Paste contact form Shortcode
  • Set Location, Phone, Email Address
  • If the preview is fine, Click on Save & Publish to save the changes.

Footer Settings

  • Go to Appearance > Customize > Footer Settings
  • Set Newsletter title
  • Insert newsletter shortcode
  • You can change your Copyright text.
  • Show / Hide footer section
  • Show / Hide footer option.

WooCommerce

Our theme is Woocommerce ready, Check all the options in this setting.

  • Go to Appearance > Customize > WooCommerce
  • Check all the available options.

Additional CSS

Go to Appearance > Customize > Additional CSS. Additional CSS lets you update the outlook of the site by adding more CSS to the theme.

Services

Adding new service page is as same as Adding Pages / Posts. You can add Title, Description, Feature Image and Service icon. You can also add short desciption in Exerpt field.

  • Go to Admin panel > Services > Add New
  • Give the title of the Page
  • Write the content of the Page
  • Add Font Awesome icon in Service Option.
  • Set Featured Image
  • Click Publish

Testimonials

Adding new Testimonial page is as same as Adding Pages / Posts. You can add Title, Description and Feature Image.

  • Go to Admin panel > Testimonials > Add New
  • Give the title of the Page
  • Write the content of the Page
  • Set Featured Image
  • Click Publish

Doctors

Adding new Doctor page is as same as Adding Pages / Posts. You can add Doctor Title, Description and Feature image.

  • Go to Admin panel > Doctors > Add New
  • Give the title of the Page
  • Write the content of the Page
  • Add descriptions in Team Option
  • Check Speciality
  • Set Featured Image
  • Click Publish

Success Stories

Adding new Sucess Stories page is as same as Adding Pages / Posts. You can add Title, Description and Feature Image.

  • Go to Admin panel > Success Stories > Add New
  • Give the title of the Page
  • Write the content of the Page
  • Set Featured Image
  • Click Publish

Events

Adding new Event page is as same as Adding Pages / Posts. You can add Title, Description and Feature Image.

  • Go to Admin panel > Event > Add New
  • Give the title of the Page
  • Write the content of the Page
  • Set Featured Image
  • Set Event Date
  • Click Publish

FAQ's

Adding new Faq page is as same as Adding Pages / Posts. You can add Title, Description and Feature Image.

  • Go to Admin panel > FAQ's > Add New
  • Give the title of the Page
  • Write the content of the Page
  • Set Featured Image
  • Click Publish
